Mrs. Virginia’s Trust

Sixty-eight-year-old Memphian, Virginia Johnson, never expected a lot out of life. She never expected that her daughter would turn out to be a drug addict. She never expected to lose her husband. She certainly never expected to win the lottery and take home twenty-one million dollars, but she did.

When everyone pushes her to spend lavishly and change her life, Virginia is forced into hiding as her simple lifestyle is challenged. With all the money she ever wanted at her disposal, she realizes what she truly wants can’t be bought. Virginia feverishly begins laying out a scheme to bring her family back together. With a plan in place, she’s finally ready to spend her winnings.

When Virginia is unexpectedly murdered at the hands of a seemingly racist police officer, her broken family must pick up the pieces and figure out how to move forward. As they fight for justice for their mother and seek vengeance for the man that killed her, Virginia’s adult children also struggle to clean up their chaotic personal lives.
